About This Program The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science has been designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to enter the field, to advance in their careers, or to pursue graduate studies. The program focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of software systems. Students study the fundamental concepts of computer science, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, operating systems, software engineering, and advanced techniques. The data science specialization focuses the burgeoning field of “Big Data” including data warehousing, mining, security, and analytics. The program is flexible in design and sensitive to the needs of busy individuals who have to balance the demands of their work, family, and education.
