Students Engagement

Student Life sponsors regular events on campus. Think there’s nothing to do? Check the campus calendar. Come join us for social events in the Tigers Den or outdoor activities at the Pit. Watch for regular co-curricular events which emphasize leadership development, spiritual growth, or service to the community. This year, we are developing activities based upon our 8 dimensions of wellness to ensure we’re programming holistically. These dimensions include Social, Spiritual, Community, Educational, Physical, Cultural, Career Services, and Emotional.

Career Advising:
In an effort to help our students get ready for graduation, SIU offers career services. Career Services is a free  resource which helps students with:

  • Career Exploration
  • Resume/Cover Letter Writing
  • Interview Preparation
  • Available Job Opportunities
  • Graduate School Advisement
Check out the Career Services tab on Black Board for additional resources!

Salem International University prides itself in the leadership opportunities available.

From work-study positions to Resident Assistants, students can gain valuable leadership experience on  campus.

In addition, SIU provides leadership training to help students develop essential leadership skills and  abilities along their personal success journey. These opportunities include the National Society of  Leadership and Success and Leadership workshops offered throughout the year.
