EBSCOhost (requires login): The West Virginia Library Commission (WVINFODEPOT.ORG) provides access to several databases.
Magazine & Periodical Databases:  Full-text databases in several areas, including business and health, as well as a general database, Masterfile Premier.
Learning Express Library: Exercises, skill-building courses, and eBooks in several areas, including both general skill-building (math, writing, statistics, etc.) and specifics for test-taking, including Praxis and Nursing skills tests.

OVID (requires login):

  • A link to 2 databases:  Full Text Nursing Journals, and Ovid Nursing database.  It contains current full-text e-journals and e-books (journals and books in electronic format), as well as bibliographic information for materials not included in full-text format.  See Advanced Ovid Search Overview for assistance in searching.

PubMed: 

  • A database from the National Library of Medicine that includes more  than 21 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.  The PubMed Quick Start Guide provides assistance in searching.

Films On Demand (requires login):

  • A Web-based digital video delivery service that allows you to view streaming videos.
  • These films won’t work on the University’s closed system. 

BioMed Central 

  • The research articles in all journals published by BioMed Central are 'open access'. They are immediately and permanently available online without charge. A number of journals require an institutional or a personal subscription to view other content, such as reviews or paper reports. Free trial subscriptions to these journals are available.

Highwire Press

  • Contains many full-text articles; full-text usually found in archives, not current.
