SALEM, W.V. - Salem International University sported their black jerseys and came out inspired to send its senior class out on a high note, but Point Park University used a 15-4 run to start the second to stifle the Lady Tigers' intentions and posted a 78-56 road victory at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
Salem International drops to 4-19 while Point Park improves to 21-5 on the season.
Inkera Patterson (North West, DC) scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting and Shakinah Haggins (Lakeland, FL) added 12 points on 5-of-9 from the field to pace the Salem offense.
Seniors honored before the game were Veronica Wheeler (Hagerstown, MD), Carrie Moore (Elkins, WV), Desiree Dwyer (Palm Beach, FL), and Ricia Brown (Clarksburg, MD).
Salem will look to end their two-game slide against Notre Dame College (OH) on Thursday, February 14th. That game is set for a 6:30 PM start.
