SALEM, W.V. - Porcha Davis (Rockville, MD) had 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Salem International past Washington Adventist, 60-41, Monday evening at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
With the win, Salem moves to 4-17 while the Lady Shock fall to 3-17 near the close of the 2012-13 season.
Carrie Moore (Elkins, WV) came away with nine (9) points on the night, six of which coming from back-to-back three pointers that sparked a 17-2 run to end the second half and put distance between the Lady Tigers and a pesky Washington Adventist squad. Moore was 3-of-5 from long range.
Jessica Lagard (Fort Worth, TX) also had nine points, going 1-of-4 from the field but a solid 7-of-8 from the charity stripe. Monique Hill (Mount Vernon, NY) came away with seven (7) points on 2-of-5 shooting and 3-of-5 from the line. Washington Adventist's Vanessa Rice led all scorers with 22 points.
