CEDARVILLE, O.H. - The Salem International University women's basketball team gave Cedarville University all they could handle in the first half, but the homestanding Yellow Jackets rallied in the second to take a 63-47 victory over the Lady Tigers.

Shakinah Haggins (Lakeland, FL) and Porcha Davis (Rockville, MD) scored 14 apiece to lead SIU (3-17). Haggins also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds, registering her first double-double of the 2012-13 season. Davis has reached double figures in points in three of her six games played since joining the team at the start of 2013.

The Salem defense held Cedarville University to just 32.8% from the field, well under their season average of 41.3% before today's game.

Salem will host Washington Adventist on Monday at 6:00 PM at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium.
