AMHERST, N.Y. - Daemen College defeated Salem International, 113-90, in the second game of the men's and women's double-header at Lumsden Gymnasium.
The Wildcats (22-5) were led by Jim Regan's 26 points and 11 rebounds. Casey Sheehan also came away with a double-double, scoring 24 points and dishing out 11 assists.
Salem International (9-12) got 18 points from junior guard / forward Darius Roper (Murfreesboro, TN). Roper was 5-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-4 from three-point range. Jamal Robinson (Washington, D.C.) had 14 points, Raymar Porter (Detroit, MI) and Dexter Batts, Jr. (Clinton, MD) had 13 points apiece, and Kenneth McCornell (Cleveland, OH) came away with 11 points to pace SIU.
Salem will take on Cedarville University on February 2nd in Cedarville, OH. Tipoff is set for 4:00 PM.
