AMHERT, N.Y. - Daemen College rebounding advantage proved costly for the Salem International University women's basketball team as the Lady Tigers fell to the Wildcats, 74-55, at Lumsden Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

SIU fell to 3-15 overall while Daemen notched their 20th win of the season.

Salem struggled with the size of Damen, being out-rebounded (54-34), which helped the home team hold a 17-4 advantage in second chance points.

Junior Porcha Davis (Rockville, MD) led the effort with 14 points on 7-of-15 shooting. Shakinah Haggins came away with 10 points on 5-of-14 shooting and nearly had a double-double with nine (9) rebounds.

Salem returns home to host Notre Dame College (OH) on Thursday, January 31st.
