SALEM, W.V. - Salem International University continued the momentum off their win at Washington Adventist with a 61-45 win over the visiting Ursuline Arrows on Wednesday at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium
The Lady Tigers up their record to 3-14, while Ursuline drops to 3-13.
Shakinah Haggins led the effort for SIU, scoring 20 points on 10-of-16 from the field.
Salem limited Ursuline to 30.4% (17-56) shooting for the game while the Lady Tigers connected on 41.5% (27-65) of their field goal attempts. SIU's defense forced 24 turnovers, converting those turnovers into 23 points.
SIU scored 26 points in the paint, compared to just eight (8) for Ursuline.
Salem will look to up their winning streak to three against Daemen this Saturday. Game time is set for 2:00 PM. |
