CLARION, P.A. - SIU women's basketball was unable to overcome a hot-shooting Clarion squad on Tuesday evening, falling 73 - 50. The Lady Tigers were led by Shakinah Haggins (Lakeland, FL) as the junior notched 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
Porcha Davis (Jr., Rockville, MD) scored seven points, had two blocks, and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in her first game as a member of the team.
Clarion out-rebounded Salem, 45-35 and led the Second Chance Points by a 20-12 margin. Salem won the points off of turnover, 25-18. The Clarion bench outscored SIU's reserves, 40-16. The Lady Tigers show 20-for-62 from the field (32.3 percent) overall while the Eagles finished 24-for-54 (44.4 percent).
