Salem, WV - Salem International Univeristy scored 62 points in the first half in a 94-29 route of Kent State - Tuscarawas Friday afternoon at the T. Edward Davis Gymnasium
Salem improves their record to 7-6.
Kenneth McCornell (Cleveland, OH) led the charge for Salem, scoring 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and 3-of-4 from three point range. Ray'mar Porter (Detroit, MI) had 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Cory Proffit (Indianapolis, IN) had a season-high 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting, 1-of-2 from three point land. Kevin Webb (Pineville, WV) was the only other Tiger in double-figures, but 10 other players registered points in the contest.
The Tigers will break for Christmas before taking on future G-MAC conference rival and NCAA Division II No. 13 Kentucky Wesleyan on December 29th. The game is scheuled for 12:00 PM Central Time
