Erie, PA - The Salem International University men's basketball team fell to Mercyhurst College Tuesday evening, 75-61, at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

Kenneth McCornell (Sr., Cleveland, OH) and Darius Rober (Jr., Murfreesboro, TN) paced SIU with 13 points a piece. Juanito Moises (Dominican Republic) scored 12 points, all in the second half.

Salem International trailed by only two at the half and the two teams would trade leads throughout the second half until the homestanding Lakers used a 22-8 run late in the game to put distance between the two squads.

Salem drops to 3-3 on the season while Mercyhust goes to 2-1.

The Fighitng Tigers return to the court on December 1st when they travel to Wilberforce, OH to take part in the Ben Watermen Classic hosted by Central State University. Salem is scheduled to battle Urbana December 1st at 2:00 PM with Washington Adventist on December 2nd.
