Salem, WV - Salem International University fell short of a fourth quarter rally, falling 20-14 Friday evening against Notre Dame College at the SIU Pool
The Tigers (0-5) kept up with the visiting Falcons for the first half, leading 5-4 in the first before going into halftime with the game tied at 8-8. However, the NDC defense halted the Tiger advance in the third and gave momentum to the visitors.
"Unfortunately, we got a few really bad decisions at the offensive end that resulted in a counter attack on the other end," said SIU's Borislav Kovacev (Becej, Serbia). "It was kind of like the game changer."
Salem's Jorge Flores (San Diego, CA) led the team in goal in the game with six while Paul Strube (Berlin, Germany) and Ryan Wells (Glendora, CA) added three and two, respectively.
The Tigers will take to the water again on Saturday when Penn State-Behrend comes into town for a 12:00 PM matchup.
