Bloomington, IN - Salem International University women's water polo team coompeted in the CWPA Western Division Championship held in Bloomington, Indiana Saturday. The Lady Tigers dropped their match-up against second seeded Indiana, 16-3, in the opening round before being topped by Gannon, 17-8, and Notre Dame College (OH), 17-4, in the afternoon session. Kerinn Fields (Temecula, CA) led Salem International with 11 goals in the tournament. Nazira Mukhamejan (Almaty, Kazakhstan) came away with three goals and Scarlett Moenkemueller (Nassau, Bahamas) added one more in the effort. The team will now turn their attention to the CWPA Eastern Championships to be held on April 28th in Providence, RI.
